Sherlock Herringbone Diamond Click Natural Oak is a world first in engineered veneer wood flooring technology. It uses a 0.3mm real wood veneer as a top layer, it is then coated in our exclusive Sherlock Diamond surface to give an AC5 Rated wear layer. The result is a real wood floor in your home that will last for years and years without the need for sanding or refinishing. The Sherlock diamond coating makes the wood significantly more resistant to wear, scratches and stains, compared to even the best toughened lacquers. Even the hardest of solid woods will require sanding after time due to excessive scratches and wear. Other veneered type engineered floors are normally tired looking after just a few years of heavy traffic. Sherlock Diamond herringbone flooring is the only real wood floor that is as tough as a commercial graded AC5 floor. This product gives you all the benefits of a laminate floor, such as easier fitting, easy maintenance, and extremely hard wearing, yet ... the true beauty, feel and warmth that only real wood can offer. We think its the best wood flooring product we have seen yet, and it's certainly the toughest.

This flooring does not require glue and is designed to be installed using a good quality underlay.  We also sell a range of accessories to compliment and finish your flooring to a high standard.

Veneer Wood Flooring

Veneer wood flooring can be a fantastic alternative to a solid wood floor or a laminate. They are made up of a very thin layer of real wood that is then protected by either a lacquer or other protective surface to reduce the chance of wear on the real wood. Because the top layer of real wood veneer is so thin it is extremely important to make sure the protective layer is extremely hard wearing and also flexible. This will greatly reduce the chances of scratching or chipping the floor. Normal lacquers or even oils are commonly used on real wood veneered flooring, but we find them inadequate as normal lacquers and oils can and will scratch and mark easily. We use an AC5 melamine to protect our Sherlock diamond floor. Simply put it is highly resistant to scratching and is also flexible so is very difficult to chip.
