A high quality floor by the popular brand Egger, this unique water-resistant flooring is part of their Design Floor Range which really is one of the best quality floors that we have come across. Strictly speaking, it is neither a laminate or LVT floor, but it shares many of their best features and combines these to make a very versatile floor. Egger's Oak Chalked Grey is water-resistant and also has a self-repairing wear layer helping to hide indentations and scratches. It is constructed with a clever a combination of wood fibers core along with a double sealing external coating, which provides the extra moisture resistance. This floor can be utilized for almost any domestic or commercial application such as busy spaces like kitchens or even in shops. It excels greatly in areas where a high level of moisture is present, for instance in bathrooms.
Among the many qualities of this floor, we love that it is so environmentally friendly. It is 70% constructed from wood fibers and is free from PVC and plasticisers. It has also been awarded with an R10 anti-slip rating.
The installation is very DIY friendly and won't need any glue or drying time. It is important to ensure that you have a level sub-floor and an LVT suitable underlay. We highly recommend reading our LVT installation guide. It installs just like a regular laminate floor with a drop in click system.
This Floor is one of the few items that we don't hold in stock, so delivery can be delayed. Please contact us for delivery dates.
It's important to inspect your laminate flooring before laying. If you find any defects at all then DO NOT INSTALL THE FLOOR until you speak with your supplier to determine the best way forward. Many manufacturers will not validate a warranty if the defective flooring is installed. It is not uncommon to find what appears to be very slight damage to the edges and especially the corners of laminate floors. This will mostly be superficial as the machining process can create small imperfections along the click system that will have no effect on the quality or performance of the floor. However large broken areas or large areas of damaged click systems are a cause for concern and you should contact your supplier before proceeding with the installation.
