Oriental Stone is part of the Egger Design Floor range, a versatile water-resistant flooring collection which we think is one of the best quality floors available today. It can neither be classified as laminate or an LVT floor due to its unique construction, but it incorporates many of their best features of both, to give a very versatile floor covering
Egger's Oriental Stone is as close to waterproof flooring as we have seen, and it has an industry first self-repairing surface, which can remove indentations and scratches without any need for tools or products. It is made with a unique structure of wood chip fibers along with a double sealed external coating, giving this Design Floor extra moisture protection. It is commonly used in domestic and commercial installations such as kitchens or even busy restaurants. The Design Flooring range is outstanding in areas where a higher amount of water is present, for example, in bathrooms.
Design flooring has many qualities and is also environmentally friendly. Constructed from 70% wood fibers and completely free from PVC and plasticisers. It has also been accredited with an R10 anti-slip rating.
The installation is simple and DIY friendly. You can even use it immediately after installation. We highly recommend that you check if you have a level sub-floor and an underlay suitable for LVT flooring. A great place to start is reading our how to install LVT flooring guide. It installs just like a regular laminate or click LVT floor with a drop in click system.
This Floor is one of the few items that we don't hold in stock, so delivery can be delayed. Please contact us for delivery dates.
It's important to inspect your laminate flooring before laying. If you find any defects at all then DO NOT INSTALL THE FLOOR until you speak with your supplier to determine the best way forward. Many manufacturers will not validate a warranty if the defective flooring is installed. It is not uncommon to find what appears to be very slight damage to the edges and especially the corners of laminate floors. This will mostly be superficial as the machining process can create small imperfections along the click system that will have no effect on the quality or performance of the floor. However large broken areas or large areas of damaged click systems are a cause for concern and you should contact your supplier before proceeding with the installation.
