Product DetailsOrigin Beach by Swiss Krono is by quite a long way the best long plank laminate flooring that we have seen. Not only does it look unbelievably close to a real wood floor , it also has a very high specification meaning that this floor will out perform most laminate floors on the market. It compromises extra long length planks over 2 metres long and each plank is much thicker than normal laminate flooring at 14mm. There is an AC5 wear layer with high density core. That means that this floor will take more wear and impact than regular laminate floors. Although no laminate flooring is indestructible, this floor will take a lot more abuse than most laminate floors on the market. Finally the surface and core have "aquastop" which gives this laminate floor a very high water resistance making it almost waterproof . And of course this product is Swiss designed and manufactured to the very highest of standards. These impressive technical specifications are great, but the most striking thing about this floor is just how realistic that it looks and feels. A deep synchronised grain, photo-realistic colours and a heavy durable feel make this floor come so much closer to real wood than anything we have seen before. It is so good, we think that even experts could mistake this floor for real wood.
It's important to inspect your laminate flooring before laying. If you find any defects at all then DO NOT INSTALL THE FLOOR until you speak with your supplier to determine the best way forward. Many manufacturers will not validate a warranty if the defective flooring is installed. It is not uncommon to find what appears to be very slight damage to the edges and especially the corners of laminate floors. This will mostly be superficial as the machining process can create small imperfections along the click system that will have no effect on the quality or performance of the floor. However large broken areas or large areas of damaged click systems are a cause for concern and you should contact your supplier before proceeding with the installation.
